About Me

Me doing 'Unintended' from Muse, recorded during a quick break
After a couple of months we're finally getting somewhere. Thanks for writing all those kind comments and blessings everyone. As you can read in my weblog, we have taken things step by step and are ready to do some gigs now.
Album
Due to some physical health problems recordings have been taking longer than expected. Vocal tracks are hard to add without a decent voice ;-).
We have however managed to figure out a final order to list the songs on the album. The album follows a line that sort or less tells a tale of what happened in the recent past, and emerges from a sense of isolation and stubbornness into a great sense of serenity and hope. I decided to call the album 'The Perpetual Dream', after a song that explains the central meaning of the mentioned tale. Here's the tracklisting.
The Perpetual Dream
1. Not For Me
2. Obsessed Eyes
3. Little Light Within
4. Restless
5. A Rainy Night
6. I Wish
7. Blame Me
8. The Perpetual Dream
9. Little Light Without
10. The Passage
11. Healing Time
12. All I Ever Wished For
13. Await
14. Tomorrow
15. Set Of A Rising Sun

Vid
Until all is finished, the video for Obsessed Eyes will be available. Please mind this is not a final or official vid, nor is this version of Obsessed Eyes the one that will appear on the album!
I figured it would be nice to just take some crappy clips from filming we've done down here during recording and paste it together as a 'first video'. I also grabbed some scenes from the good old days and from my solo Slovenian-IronMaiden-weekend-birthday-trip (don't ask). Don't be expecting too much from my visual artistic talents!
Alright... about Leo then;
Ever since I was young I loved to play music, and started writing stuff ..boards and guitar. When I grew up, I never understood much of the world surrounding me. From this, a lyrical touch within differing music emerged.
Having played in (loud) rockbands for some years, the voice I'd developed seemed to be much more appropriate to the more kindling and relaxing side of music. Therefore the decision to start writing and recording solo songs was never really hard to make.
After taking a journey on the bumpy road of love, some great songs from a merger of all kinds of music were written. Combining these new songs with some older ones from a line of dissociation with society, the basics for the first album were made.
Since the summer of 2007, recordings for this album called "The Perpetual Dream" have been started and are soon to be finished. With great rhythmic guidance from my dear friend and companion Ruben Gouman, the album contains both strength and weakness, depth and simplicity. Eventually, a message of hope and faith falls upon the listener, as it once fell upon me.
Until the album is finished and all the setup has been completed, some low-quality demotracks from former days will be available on this page. Extended and remixed versions of these songs will also appear on The Perpetual Dream album. Enjoy! ;-)
