At the age of 18 I completed a National Diploma in Fashion and Clothing at Swansea College, Wales, in June 2007 by creating a Punk/ Goth style collection which was highlighted in the local newspaper. September 2007 I moved to London to study at the Fashion Retail Academy and quickly started creating clothing for photo shoots around areas such as Camden under the brand name Rock ‘n’ Needle. I was then asked to headline a fashion show at the exclusive M1NT club, Mayfair in January 2008.
February 2008 I exhibited a collection at The Music Room, central London, where Rock ‘n’ Needle was mentioned in Drapers magazine and Touch magazine. After this I continued to design for photo shoots including a shoot for London University of the Arts , visited Paris with the Fashion Retail Academy and later showed a new collection at Kent University’s annual fashion show.
April 2008 I created a successful shoot at Camden Market which led me to be interviewed by Hot, Wild & Free magazine and was then asked to return to Swansea, Wales to be interviewed by The Evening Post Newspaper. July 2008 I graduated from the Fashion Retail Academy.
