It is with great sadness that I will be forced to give up the name of Grasshopper Music due to the incompetence of a partnership that has now decided to cause problems within this once great non-profit organization.
As you all know, I have beaten myself into the ground over making Grasshopper Music what it is today and have spent hours upon hours signing bands, conversing with management, designing layouts, personal business meetings, duplication of the CD’s, spent hundreds upon hundreds of dollars of my own money for this etc.
After getting no help from my partner, who time and time again has ignored and deserted ALL work related to Grasshopper Music since its creation, he has now threatened legal action and wants to be a part of it suddenly, out of the blue. This was a partner who has deserted me on every aspect of this company in the past. This was a partner full of false promises who now, after 3 long years of no involvement in the company decides he wants to come back and try to take it form me after all the work has been done and now that Grasshopper is becoming successful.
The sad part of the situation is that Grasshopper Music was a non-profit organization meant to help do good in the world and it has now, due to this partnership and greed, become a hassle completed riddled with unnecessary stress.
Unfortunately, the problems caused by this person are irreversible therefore I must do the right thing and create a new one for the sake of the future compilations.
It is regrettable that I now must create my own sole proprietorship and once again build it up from the ground as I have done with this one.
I will be adding you all to the new company’s myspace in the next couple for days as it will now be under a new name where I can finally build the organization it to what it was intended to be, without the hassle of people’s greed getting in the way.
I will be taking the Emergency CD with me as the compilation was created and fully completed by me and the CD will be released through the new company, not Grasshopper Music.
Grasshopper began and ended with Back Off! As the producer of Back Off! and one of the partners in Grasshopper Music who actually did work I will continue to sell Back Off! until they are sold out.
I want to thank you all for your support at this time and I am looking forward to the release of Emergency and working with you all in a safer and more professional environment, banding together to help end poverty.
Thank You,
Leland Stoelwinder.
