About Me

Halfway Home known for their outstanding live performances have now started to create a buzz locally. Reccently breaking into the live music scene in and around Chichester/Brighton area they look to spread their music futher a field. The band have been writing together for 4 and a half years now, and thoroughly enjoy writing with each other.
Halfway Home have had their music described as -
"powerful vocals melted into a fusion of funk/blues guitar riffs with melodic bass lines and reggea grooves"As word spreads Halfway Home are becoming more and more popular.
The band members of Halfway Home withhold a fashionable image and their music is aimed towards young vibrant people. However due to their success they have many fans from all walks of life.
Halfway Home have supported many bands, headlined shows and even showcased their music for "The Brighton Insitute of Modern Music".
Certain members of Halfway Home have gained experiece from people such as -

Halfway Home are-
Rachel Hawker -18 year old Singer/Songwriter who has been writing since she was 12 and singing as long as she can remember, she is the lead vocalist of Halfway Home, also playing rhythm guitar and occassional piano.
"I find that writing with the band has really helped me to express myself in different ways, than when I am writing by myself for example, we all bounce ideas off each other and it's a great buzz.", says lead singer and rhythm guitarist Rachel Hawker.
Kevin Rose- Kevin Rose is the lead guitarist of the band, and brings together an electic fusion of funk/blues and indie in his playing not forgetting his passion for writing and performing which attributes a lot to Halfway's sound.
Wayne Tomsett- Multi Instrumental Wayne Tomsett is a talented Singer Songwriter in his own write, but his main focus in Halfway Home is the melodic baselines that set the bands sound out from the rest.
Chaz Mcleod- Chaz is an extremely versatile drummer, playing with reggae bands, heavy metal, punk, even orchesteral drumming and it is this fusion of influences that enables him to create the groove that he so readily does for Halfway..!
