About Me

Born in Italy a while back to Turkish/British parents, raised in Monaco, moved to London 10 years ago and been sharing the joys of music and life with some beautiful people. The fact that I am French is a pure myth.My exciting project of original music, often described as Melodic Contemporary Jazz with World and Latin flavours, has now been recorded in trio and quintet format! The album will be released this year and promoted during another tour of the UK (the one last year was so good I can't wait to do another!), and features the amazing Joe Auckland on trumpet & fluegelhorn and the ridiculous Ivo Neame on piano ("DejaVu" and "Sunlight On Your Face", originals of mine, are uploaded on here and are an example of what we play). And of course the incredible Phil Donkin on double bass (who, did you know, is P-R-E-T-T-Y GOOD on bass guitar too..) and the superhuman George Hart on drums.Uploaded tunes on this page: "So Simple" and "Danse avec Moi": two tunes I wrote, featuring the Brigitte Beraha Group. "Deja-Vu" and "May Chill": Two of my tunes featuring my trio "In Love in Vain" and "I Loves You Porgy": Two Jazz Standards from Prelude to a Kiss. Here is what a few people have said:"Despite the similarity in their names and the fact that both are trios, Azymuth and Azimuth are very different. The former, one of Brazil's biggest exports, are samba party animals; the latter represent the best in English chamber jazz refinement. Yet, by an odd coincidence, London-based singer Brigitte Beraha's trio manages to call both of these to mind. Her group shares the same vocals, trumpet and piano line-up as Azimuth and when their singing and playing flow they achieve a quality of sound that puts them in the same ball park". The Herald"Brigitte is someone who concentrates on the music's core values: imagination, individuality, improvisation." Jazz Review"If sheer talent were the only ingredient needed for success in music, Brigitte would already be up there with the stars. She has a tremendous future to explore, one which well be watching with great expectations." Dame Cleo Laine and John Dankworth CBE"...Divinely sung solos from Brigitte Beraha..." The Guardian"Ms Beraha has made an album that really stands out of the crowd" Jazzwise
