about moxie DaDA
moxie DaDA is a 3 year old ART GALLERY and CREATIVE HOUSE for promoting artists and graphic design services. The gallery has represented more than 150 local, regional, national and internationally acclaimed artists, and has presented close to 30 exhibits. moxie DaDA has received positive attention from the media and honored in both the Pittsburgh City Paper's Best Of 2005 & 2006.
moxie DaDA is proud to share space in the historic FIREHOUSE STUDIOS (home to several renown artists and ceramicists)in Pittsburgh's Mexican War Streets neighborhood.
One of Pittsburgh's brightest up and coming artists, Kyle Ethan Fischer, debuts his new mixed media work in an exhibit appropriately titled "mixed". Check out our blog for more details.
This show runs from September 29 through October 27. The opening reception will be held Saturday September 29, from 6:00-9:00pm.
moxie is a leader in the Pittsburgh art community that provides supportive, responsive staff:
Grant Bobitski is a curator with an extreme eye for detail, balance, and the ability to execute brilliance in every exhibition. He is the gallery's secret weapon in space and concept design.
Matthew Indovina, promoter, operations manager, and handler works in every capacity of moxie DaDA . He is the gallery's secret weapon in promoting, scouting, sales and concept development.
Christine Whispell, owner, director, and designer graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for Visual Communications and Graphic Design. She has had more than 10 years experience in design related fields. Christine's vision of cultivating Pittsburgh's art scene and arts promotion has resulted in the inception of moxie DaDA .
Karl MOUSE, gallery mascot and most popular gallery attendant, draws people from all walks of life to enjoy art and entertainment. After one too many close calls with the pottery, Mouse has been relocated to the gallery's home office in Bloomfield to live with his brother Jake. Alas, the spiders run amok...
