Sweetwater Center for the Arts

Where Creativity Flows

About Me

Sweetwater Center for the Arts is a non-profit arts organization that presents high quality arts education programs and cultural events to the residents of Western Pennsylvania since 1975.
Through its educational and cultural programs, including classes, exhibitions, concerts, lectures, and films, Sweetwater helps to enhance the quality of life within the Pittsburgh Area. In providing cultural opportunities for the region, Sweetwater has attempted to bring the arts to underserved localities through school outreach activities and various public programs, as well as providing need-based scholarships for our educational programs.
Sweetwater’s vision is to provide a unique cultural resource to the residents of Allegheny County and Western Pennsylvania by providing opportunities to create and experience the arts through quality art and cultural experiences. Offering a variety of fine art, ceramic, cooking, dance, jewelry, music, and photography classes, children ages 4 to adult are able to participate at Sweetwater. Both members and non-members may rent the ceramics, dark room and jewelry studios, as well as the elegant Community Room and kitchen facilities.
For exhibitions, programs, performances, special events and class schedules visit www.sweetwaterartcenter.org or call 412.741.4405.
