The ARL Wildlife Center, founded by the Animal Rescue League of Western PA is a non-profit clinic for wildlife that exists solely on donations, grants, and the help of our dedicated volunteers. Our goal is to treat and release each patient back to the wild. We have treated thousands of patients since opening in 1997. Over 90% of our patients come to us due to conflicts with man, such as being hit by cars, attacked by cats and dogs, or being picked up as presumed orphans. We are a state and federally licensed rehabilitation facility, and are staffed by one licensed rehabilitator, along with approximately 40 volunteers. We admit all injured or orphaned native Pennsylvania wildlife. This includes birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. The Wildlife Center DOES NOT accept domestic animals, exotic species, or feral dogs and cats.
We get a donation everytime you use Goodsearch as you search engine.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Caring, hardworking individuals who are interested in a unique volunteer experience.
1.Become a Volunteer! We hold a Volunteer Orientation on the first Sat. of each month from 10-11am. We are seeking volunteers 18 years and older to assist with the daily upkeep of the Center. Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one 3-4hr. shift per week, but we're flexible on the time commitment. The Center has flexible hours. No experience is necessary, we will provide all training. Please contact the center at 412-793-6900 for more information.
2. Become an intern! The ARL Wildlife Center has internship opportunities available to all undergraduate students majoring in fields such as biology or environmental science.
