About Me

The Tom Museum (PITTSBURGH, PA)WINNER OF THE 2007 MAYOR'S AWARD FOR PUBLIC ART, Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council Work of Art Awards!The Tom Museum is one of the newest art museums on the planet. The museum is Pittsburgh artist Tom Sarver's home, studio and exhibition space all contained in one building next to the Mattress Factory Museum of Art. The museum is open Satudays 11am - 5pm and Sundays 1pm to 3pm. Tickets to The Tom Museum are available with Mattress Factory Admisssion.The Museum is an ever changing exhibition of painting, sculpture, drawing and puppetry. Exhibits in the museum are inspired by everyday life activites including gardening, cooking, and fishing. Tom is generally available during museum hours to answer questions about his work. The museum features regular puppetry performances, art demonstrations, experimental performances, films and visiting artists. The Tom Museum is an exhibition of the Mattress Factory.
