My best work... is the one I haven't created yet.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I would like to stay in touch with old friends and meet new ones. More than that I am an illustrator and I need to meet new folks all the time in order to get the word out about my artwork. I also offer art reproduction prints of my paintings and drawings, so if anyone sees some of my work out there and wishes to own it or give it as a gift, it is can happen! :o) Samples of my work can be seen on these sites: www.rhondalibbey.com http://www.pittsburghillustrators.org/rhondalibbey.htm

Music:

I love nearly all types of music to one degree or another. But my favorite music groups are... Mediaeval Baebes, Korpiklaani, Anonymous 4, Ceann na Caca, the Pogues, Bessie Smith, Bjork, the Tea Party, Enya, Oingo Boingo, Switchblade Symphony, Bauhaus, the Cure, Manowar, Rhapsody, Blind Guardian, Nick Cave, Chemlab, Ministry, NIN, Sisters of Mercy, (the old) Misfits, Johnny Cash, Midnight Oil, Operation Ivy, and Madness. Im sure that there are plenty of other bands that play ska, punk, Irish, alternative, industrial, metal, ragtime, trip-hop, goth, or renaissance and baroque music that I am forgetting at the moment though.

Movies:

I love movies. Among my favorites are: Cemetery Man, Boondock Saints, Vikings (starring Kirk Douglas), Brain Candy, Legend, Conan (1 and 2), Donnie Darko, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Cannibal the Musical, Pirates of the Caribbean, Frighteners, Ravenous, Session 9, Snow White (with Sigourney Weaver), Robin Hood (just about every movie about him ever made), Sin City, Cave Man (with Ringo Star...I just adore the part with the dionsaur falling off the cliff), Tristan & Isolde, Dark City, Princess Bride, Labyrinth, Dark Kingdom-Dragon King, Beowulf and Grendel (America, you can order the DVD Hollywood doesn't want you to have from amazon.ca...I did!) the Reanimator, Phantom of the Paradise, Guest House Paradiso, Shaun of the Dead, Evil Dead (all of them), and O Brother Where art Thou...just to name a few. ...and I willingly admit that I do like the Scary Movie series...yes all of them.

Television:

Anyone who knows me well also knows of my borderline insane obsession with an old BBC series called Robin of Sherwood. I dont like much TV at all, but I seem to enjoy British TV as I also like other BBC shows like Red Dwarf and The Young Ones. I have also discovered I adore an HBO series called Mr. Show... Venture Brothers, Simpsons, and Family Guy!

Books:

favorite books...I love so many, but among the first that come to mind are: the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and the Hobbit, the Chronicles of Narnia, Until We Have Faces, Eaters of the Dead, Robinhood (there's a surprise), Beowulf, Brave New World, the first 6 books of the Dragonlance series, the Vampire Lestat, and Perelandra. I also like the Fairy Queen by Spencer though its a really hard read. I must admit that the main reason I like this book is because I once read a "coronation edition" of this with the most amazing illustrations inside, I am hunting for my own copy of this fantastic edition of this book.

Heroes:

There are too many to name.
