Johnstown FolkFest

Who knew a free festival could be this good?

About Me

One of the best free music festivals in the nation! Held annually over Labor Day weekend (August 29-31, 2008), the AmeriServ Johnstown FolkFest includes more than 20 national musical acts from a wide variety of genres, including bluegrass, rockabilly, zydeco, blues, country, roots rock, jamband, honky-tonk and more. Free admission! Presented by the Johnstown Area Heritage Association.
Lineup and schedule: Visit the performer page of our website for details on all 2008 performers, as listed in the box below left. The 2008 festival is scheduled for August 29-31, 2008. The performance schedule will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
Location: Johnstown is in southwestern Pennsylvania, about 90 minutes southeast of Pittsburgh -- it's an easy drive from most major cities in the northeast, including Baltimore; New York City; Buffalo; Washington, D.C.; Philadelphia; and anywhere in Ohio. It's an extremely affordable destination, too -- and the festival itself is free. Visit our website for driving directions, accommodation information, packages and more.
Please leave us a comment! We love hearing from friends of the festival, and from anyone who wants to drop by and say hi. As far as non-personalized HTML messages promoting a specific event, release or whatever -- these will be posted if they are from a past or present FolkFest performer or other friend of the festival. We're even willing to post some HTML messages that don't meet that description, as long as the message isn't too enormous. We look forward to hearing from you!
