In 1984, while the shows ratings declined in Canada and were hardly watched, Nickelodeon aired the show five times a week, and it became the network's highest-rated television program!
Nick knew they had there slimy hands on something good!YCDTOTV was number 1 until Marc Summers began hosting yet another hit for Nick called Double Dare another slime filled show in 1986.
Due to the absence of creator and producer Roger Price there ended up not being a 1988 season, but 1989 turned out to be very funny with the worst of episodes.
The show ended in 1990 with only five episodes, and in 1994 was completely eliminated of reruns.
