About Me

I wear a lot of hats, in industries that like to figure out your niche and keep you there.
I write and produce Doug Stephan's Good Day, a nationally syndicated morning talk radio show. You can tune in at www.dougstephan.com, or just grab one of the podcasts on the left side of this page.
I also run an Internet Christmas radio station, and you can check that out at www.soundsofchristmas.com, or on the MySpace page I have for it, which you can find by clicking on the Christmas tree at the bottom of my top friends.
Nice that I'm one of my own top friends, isn't it?
I also write, and to date have published one book, called You Watch Too Much TV. And you can find out more about that, and get a copy for yourself and everyone you've ever met, by clicking on the book cover on the left side of this page. I have several other projects in the works, and hope to have more info on them soon!
I married a wonderful woman, who is my complete other half. She knows me and loves me because of who I am, not in spite of it.
I also have two terrific kids, who I met when they were already in their teens. Most of the time, they seem to think I'm okay.
I'm annoyed by the political circus that goes on and on and on and on. I'm also working hard on correcting some lifelong bad behavior, and have to date lost 70 pounds (which puts me near the halfway point).
I blog about all that stuff, and hope you can come by often and take a look!

Winning and Losing

The reality is - I won.  I'm not quite dressed to kill just yet, but a win is still a win. On the first of the year, my wife and I joined up with other members of her family for our own version o...

Victory Is Mine!

Some 35 years ago, John Lennon wrote a song that he gave to Ringo called "I Am The Greatest".  With all humility aside, I've posted that song on my page. I have now officially lost 70 pounds!&nbs...

Freedom of Speech

This morning, I was reminded again how some people have some significant misconceptions about the Freedom of Speech. In radio, this happens quite a bit.  People call up your show and think that t...

Because I Said So

This marks my second official Father's Day.  Technically, I'm a step-dad.  Since there is no Step Parents Day, my family has included me in this one. Given the ever-increasing number of blen...

Advice For The Class of 2012

My step-daughter graduated from high school last week.  This week, my step-son graduates from the eighth grade.  I think they actually call this a promotion instead of a graduation. Either w...

Congrats!

I met my step-daughter not all that long ago.  Of course, she wasn't my step-daughter then.  She was simply the daughter of the woman I loved.  I knew at the time that the first meetin...

Radars Teddy Bear (GBE)

I've had several people ask me about the identity of Radar's teddy bear.  That's the kind of thing that happens when you write a TV trivia book. The best way to answer it is with a transparent pl...

Numbers Game

I'm reminded of the words of Eddie Murphy, who, in "The Golden Child", said, "HA!" That's exactly how I feel.  I weighed in today, and lost another three pounds.  That takes me to 259.5, so ...

Give Me A Break

At the moment, I can't think of anything more annoying than the three major candidates running for President of the United States. Truly. I've blogged before how they have each ignored their current r...
