I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm a Scots-Irish Missouri girl, born and raised....I now live in Overland Park, Kansas, which is part of the Greater Kansas City, Missouri area.
I was born in Kansas City and raised in a little town called Blue Springs, which isn't so small anymore. Leafy tree lined streets with lovely homes, friendly & giving people, Kansas City is said to be the home of more fountains than any city in the world except Rome and home to more boulevards than Paris, France. I have lived and traveled all over this great country, I have even traveled abroad and seen many beautiful places....but Kansas City and Missouri is where my heart is.
I live by a few simple precepts;
1. JOY=Jesus, Others and then Yourself
2. Laughter is always the best medicine
3. Hugs heal
4. Love is a verb
I am a bible thumper, sinner saved by grace through faith, wife, mother, daughter, super sister, aunt, cousin extraordinaire and friend; just your average normal person living in the fly over section of the country. I am a happy person, who is easy going and down to earth, love to laugh. I can be opinionated and not afraid to speak my mind, but I do it nicely.... it's part of my Irish charm (she said with a smile)
I am very family oriented, loyal and fiercely protective of my family and friends. I believe the most important traits to have are compassion and integrity.
My favorite season is fall, followed by spring, then winter and lastly summer. I LOVE rainy and overcast days, I prefer that to a sunny day anytime. Sitting by the fire, drinking a cup of tea on a nice crisp overcast day....HEAVEN!
I'm married to a loving and thoughtful man. We have two great sons, ages 20 & 14, and a cat named Molly Mae; who by the way has her own Myspace page, now that is pet with talent! =^..^=

Another badass quiz from eSPIN-the-Bottle...
What's Your Sense of Humor?

MY RESULT: Witty

The Cadillac of senses of humor. Smart, sophisticated, and people either love you or just roll their eyes at you.
If you’ve never watched any of those “Brit-Coms,” go out and rent them – you’ll love them. If you’ve already seen them, well, it shows. You’ve got a great mind and a great sense of humor.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Real people, people with inner substance. I have no time for those who are vain, narcissistic and always looking for the next "hook-up". I'm drawn to people that are witty, intelligent and good hearted.
My friends are a diverse group, some are Republican, Democrats, Independents. Some are Christians, some are Jewish, one or two are Atheists, Some drink, others don’t, some would never cuss and others cuss like long shore men. Some have master degrees, others were lucky they finished high school. Some are straight and a couple are not. And although we agree to disagree that doesn’t mean we don’t debate issues…sometimes fiercely but we always know we can count on each other in a pinch.
I thank you for stopping by, please leave me a message, I would like to meet you too.
