Post Modern Solo Guitar

About Me

During the mid-90’s, my wife and I had a Christian Rock Band called DS3. We played all around between Pittsburgh and Harrisburg at camps, coffee houses, churches, festivals, colleges, parking lots etc. Now, in this season of life, I mostly find myself playing guitar alone, but have gotten quite used to the idea. I’m such a fan of solo guitar players, but I listen to all kinds of stuff
My current main "gig" is leading the modern worship music every Sunday at my church. See link below. I also play solo acoustic music on the first Friday of each month at Mamie’s Cafe in Martinsburg, PA.

In my occupation as an unworthy conduit of living water, my passion lately has become helping people figure out how to get beyond the things that bring them down. The obstacles of life don’t need to become iron bars. But, we often make iron bars out of simple obstacles. Even firm believers in God have down times, when they just aren’t "happy." That’s ok! Happiness depends on what is "happening." See how similiar those words are? For more on this, see my blog on Spiritual things.

Band Members: Solo Guitar - I've been thumping away at the guitar for almost 30 years now. Lately, I've really been into playing alone. (See my "influences") I love to hear what one person can really do with just a guitar. No band. No vocals. This style works well for me, because my career keeps me pretty busy so there isn't time for a band or too many gigs. I hope you like what you are hearing. My only goal for setting up this sight is to share these songs with anyone who might enjoy them.

Once in a while I get to do a show with my wife or daughter singing. I'd prefer to let the singing to them.
