Since July of 2004, the Chicago-based trio has been forging solid ground in the Midwest and across the country with appearances at many music and arts festivals.
In January of 2008, the band released their first Full-Length CD, "This Time, Last Time, Every Time" - available on CD Baby, iTunes, www.queercontrol.com, and numerous digital distributors, such as Last.FM and Napster.
Estrojam, 2005 brought 8 Inch Betsy to the same stage as Amy Ray (Indigo Girls) where the bands first met. The show went well, to say the least. Their performance bought them an invitation by Amy Ray to join her for the final leg of her Midwestern tour, exposing them to her dedicated fan base and to coveted, rock venues such as, The Grog Shop, The Blind Pig, and Southgate House.
In 2006, 8 Inch Betsy was voted "Editor's Pick" by Curve magazine and accepted to play Homo-A-Go-Go Music and Arts Festival (OLY,WA) - where they graced the stage the same night as bands, Amy Ray, Bitch, The Shondes, Tender Forever and many others. 8 Inch Betsy has opened for the Gossip twice in Chicago.
In 2007, the band played Estrojam again - this time with along with Jucifer, Marnie Stern, & Evil Beaver. Later that year, Ladyfest South had 8 Inch Betsy rocking out at "The Earl", in Atalanta, GA.
In 2008, 8 Inch Betsy appeared in an article about their new label, Queer Control Records and announcing the new Cd release on LOGO's afterellen.com. (See full article by clicking on 8 Inch Betsy, "Press" page.)
8 Inch Betsy, will appear in CURVE's, Double Music edition in July of 2008 in an article about label-mates, Piriah Pirhana and Queer Control Records. Keep yer eyes peeled for a Cd Review of the new CD in Curve next month.
