Clash The Disko Kids (CTDK) is a Singapore electro-techno-house trio consisting of DJ Itchi, Kurt and Weili. As individual 'kids', each had proven themselves worthily throughout various DJ competitions held in Singapore for the past few years, between them, they have swept titles such as Juice DJ Quest Champion & Frontal Super Star DJ Project Champion, Pioneer PRO DJ Regional Final Runner Up & Heineken Thirst Studio Runner-up.
Together as Clash The Disko Kids, they have been formidable on the dance floors. With over 15 years turntable experience between them, and a blatant disregard for music genres, they are known for incorporating a strong rock influence into their sets and image. A CTDK set is like one big lesson in the history of electronic music in one night! You can only expect a mural of sounds when CTDK go behind the decks. Out of nowhere, the trio seemed to have emerged out of the concrete jungle and reinvented the clubbing landscape in Singapore, putting their own sick twists towards music such as adding samples, accapellas and sound fx to their DJ sets and just about everything around it to put smiles on the clubbers’ faces and hands in the air. The result is something really quite exciting and definitely very refreshing!
Inside the studios, the trio have remixed a number of singles, such as The Go! Team's "Grip On A Vice" and CSS's "Alala", SebastiAn’s “Motorâ€. And these tracks have been on the playlist of many other DJs and were featured on many weblogs such as Discobelle, OneMoreDisco, BigStereo…etc. Currently, they are producing original tracks for their upcoming album.
Clash The Disko Kids have played in many gigs in clubs like Home, Butter Factory, Phuture (Zouk), and Loft (Zouk, Kuala Lumpur). In addition to their DJ gigs, they also hold their own regular nights “You Say Party! We Say Rave!†where they have invite other acts to perform with them. Previous acts include Twilight Action Girl (KL), Dubwise (SG), Shawn Livewire (SG) and DJ Inquisitive (SG). They also have achieved a string of accolades such as playing alongside Jay J (USA), Max Graham (USA), Brewster B (Australia), Soul of Man (UK) & Dub Pistols.
