Here is a little background on my profile picture. It is very special to me because it was on the Pastor's tie at my Mom's memorial service, he said that he wore his special tie. I saw it again on my church bulletin one week before the one year anniversary of my Moms' passing. I go to a different church than the one where the service was held, so this was really something for that exact picture to end up on a church bulletin a few days before the anniversary date. God is awesome. And he was just reminding me that he cares, even in the little details. So now you know the story of my profile pic.

I am a Christian and I live on a lake out in the middle of nowhere with my husband of 31 1/2 years, who I love dearly. I work full time at a job that I love. The people that I work with are like family and they are great to work with. I work in a Christian office which is fantastic. My boss is younger than me, but not by much and he always reminds me of how much older I am. Yeah right only by about 49 days. He is a great guy to work for and with. I am a little computer challenged and when something goes wrong at work, of course he's not there and I have to deal with it. Then when he comes in everything works perfectly. I will tell him about it and he will look at me like I'm nuts. Then when it messes up for him, I laugh at him. He is a computer wiz and knows how to fix it, not me I just know how to bang my head on my desk and do the best I can. I love to joke around and I'm usually in a good mood. I like to work with the public, though some of my customers are a little difficult to deal with, I try to do the best I can. Most of my time is spent at work, but if you love your job that's ok.
One of the people that I work with is a good friend, her name is R., she is a nut, she is almost as loony as I am, naw nobody is that nuts, anyway, she is a very loving and genuine person. She is always on the go and I don't think her mind ever rests and she is a worry wart on top of it all, I love her to pieces and I am glad she is my friend, but I really wish she would slow down and take some time for herself and quit worrying so much. I really like to give her the business and she likes to return the favor. She tries to help people but sometimes ends up putting her foot in her mouth, sometimes both, but she keeps on trying. She will stand up for what is right no matter what the cost and if she thinks someone is trying to hurt a friend of hers intentionally, I pity that someone! They will definitely hear about it! She is very honest and has a lousy poker face.... Some of her reactions to people are hilarious, like the time we had free candy for the customers and this family came in a started to load their pockets with the candy. I thought I was going to have to get a crow bar to get her mouth off of the floor. It was quite funny...... You just had to be there to see the look on her face, I can still see it.
When I get home from work I like to drink a cup of coffee or two and relax and talk to my husband. I cook dinner and then watch some TV. I am a very forgiving person and get along or try to get along with people. I love to sing and like to karaoke. I write poetry and make my own greeting cards for my family and friends.
I lost my Mom on May 6th 2005 and I miss her very much.
I'm very sentimental and get misty eyed easily if something is close to my heart that I am talking about. When I'm sad I will clam up, because if I talk to much I will cry, especially if someone asks me what's wrong. It is usually R. who notices when I'm unusually quiet, and will ask me what's wrong.
I have been known to have a biting tongue with dripping sarcasm, But I do not intentionally try to hurt anyones feelings. I try to watch my tongue most of the time, but sometimes a comment might slip out. oops sorry..... Most of the time I like to kid people and I do know how to take a joke, if I can dish it out I can take it.
Some people think I am out of my mind sometimes, me to. I can be very goofy and love to make people laugh. There are enough tears in the world, so I try to make people laugh a little so they can have a lighter heart for at least a minute or two.
I believe in going the extra mile and try to daily. One thing I have found in life is to be content with what you have and where you are.

She was an angel before she left us and has been from the start
she is now a real angel and is close by in our hearts.
God gave us this special angel, but only for awhile

She may have left us on this earth

My Interests

My interests include: reading my Bible, writing poetry, reading Christian books, watching TV, Myspace, fishing sometimes although I haven't fished in quite awhile, surfing the net and drinking coffee.
I don't like to travel and I'm pretty much a homebody when I'm not at work. People I know like to travel and go to exotic locations, but I would just rather stay home. I do like to go to the ocean once in a great while, but that is about it as far as traveling.
I also like to go to the mall in the big city and shop, but I don't get there very often, maybe four times a year if that.

Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so, little ones to him belong, we are weak but he is strong, yes Jesus love me, yes Jesus loves me, yes Jesus loves me the Bible tells me so........That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!

He is coming back to this world once again. If you go your own way and not turn to him, you'll be judged for your actions and pay for your sins.
He paid for your sins with his life sacrificed, if you don't know the Lord. Then you'll pay the price

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life

We will all have to stand before the King of the universe and be judged, but it would be far better to know that your sins have been blotted out and are remembered no more because you accepted Christ's sacrifice for your sins. Then you will have no fear of that judgment because you are covered in the blood of the lamb and have his righteousness and stand pure before a Holy Judge.
Repent
He will change your life if only you will seek his face and ask his forgiveness and ask him into your heart.
Your good works won't get you there, only by admitting that you are a sinner and have broken God's law and that you are helpless to save yourself and are in desperate need of a Savior, and asking for his forgiveness is the way to be reconciled to God.

God is love yes but he is also a Holy God and can not even stand to look at sin. Only by his Son's shed blood to cleanse your sin, will God be able to accept you.
Because of Christ's sacrifice and shed blood and his great love for us he made us clean and wants to pour his love into us. He will give you a new heart and a fresh start, if only you will accept what he did on your behalf and trust only in him to save you.
God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself.
If we have even broken one of the Ten Commandments, we are guilty of breaking God's law. And if anyone breaks the law they will have to face justice. God is love, but he is also a just God and will execute justice on law breakers. There is a penalty to be paid for sin and the penalty is death. But God paid the penalty for us, he took the penalty on himself, he paid the price for us.
None are righteous, no not one.
The only way is Jesus who was God, who stepped down from his throne and became a man, died on the cross and three days later he rose from the dead. The grave could not hold the King of Glory!
He defeated death!!!!
He came to this earth to show us the way
No religion will save you
Only Jesus
His blood shed for you
Only Jesus
God will forgive you of all of your sin, if you turn to Jesus and trust only in him
On the cross he paid it all, pay attention to his call
He is calling you today
Listen and respond
Don't delay
Jesus is the only way.
He meant what he said when he rose from the dead he is coming again for the flock he has fed
Let him feed you.
Read his word and walk with him daily.
You won't regret it
He is risen !!!!
Because he lives we can face tomorrow !!!

Television:

People I work with have satellite and cable and think I'm goofy for not having 500 channels, I have an antenna and only get channel 4,5,13,9 and sometimes 7 & 11. Why have all of those other channel when all you get is commercials. Yeah I'll pay through the nose for that, you betcha !
Anyway I like to watch: The World according to Jim, Rodney, the news, evening magazine and a few shows on channel 9, special music from the 60's and 70's and so on. Lately we only watch news and 20/20, Dateline type shows and The world according to Jim. Rodney isn't on anymore, to bad that was a good show.
As far as quality television, that went away with The Beaver and the Andy Griffith show. You younguns will say " Who?", that's to bad unless you can catch it on Nick at Nite.
I can't get those channels so I have to rely on my memory and that is questionable sometimes at my age.lol
