Sheriff's homicide detectives are seeking the public's help in finding 22-year-old Jared Salazar, a Bellflower man wanted for the murder of his 5-month-old son, Jared Salazar Jr., who died Oct. 8, 2006.
Detectives say Salazar beat the baby, then fled from the hospital after the child was pronounced dead there of severe head trauma. Salazar has a history of domestic violence and drug use, and frequents the areas of Bellflower, Torrance and South Bay, although police say he may have left the state.
Salazar is white, 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, and has blond hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Michael Rodriguez at (323) 890-5579.

Case Summary: Between October 2006 and January 2007, Dante Sumlar was involved with counterfeiting both commercial and cashier's checks. The scheme, which spanned from Jacksonville, FL, to Alabama, resulted in the loss of more than $200,000. Sumlar was indicted in the Southern District of Alabama for violation of 18 USC 371 (Conspiracy), 18 USC 513 (Counterfeit Securities), and 18 USC 1344 (Bank Fraud).
He has 8 gold teeth. Two teardrop tattoos under his right eye. Tombstone tattoo on his left arm. Panther and dragon tattoo on his right arm. Caution: Dante Sumlar is a suspect in an ongoing murder investigation by the Jacksonville (FL) Sheriff's Department and should be considered ARMED and DANGEROUS.
