Below is a poem written for Bob by his half-sister, Anna.
Missing into the darkness
Vanished without a trace
With only memories and photograph
To fill this empty place
You said, “Goodbye,†to no one,
the day you went away.
“Why?†is the question
we ask ourselves each day?
You had so much promise,
but you threw it all away.
And, now, your voice is silent,
we have so much to say
As a friend and a sister,
my love for you will stay,
from here to eternity,
forever, and a day.
I miss you, my brother,
my days have all turned gray.
What were you thinking,
the day you went away?
Anger, sorrow, and bitterness,
Twelve years, cannot erase.
The cycles of these feelings
continue to replay.
I will keep your pictures near me,
in hopes of seeing you someday.
I’ll look for you forever,
And every day I’ll pray
I miss you, Bob, so much,
and I hope you can hear me say,
“Though I still cry and have mixed feelings,
my love will never fade away.â€
