Her tan Ford Extended Cab (with camper) pickup truck was found along I-45 (Gulf Freeway) South between exit 7 and exit 8 in La Marque, Texas. Below is a list of possible victims that may have fallen prey to serial killers along the I-45 corridor. Note that victims are listed in the order in which they disappeared. In the cases of the unidentified victims they are placed according to the date in which their bodies were discovered since it is technically unknown when they actually disappeared. Some of these girls are still missing, no ones knows for sure how or if these cases are connected. I am still looking for pictures of all the girls. So far I have not had much luck in finding the older ones. Plus there are more girls that are missing from area I am still going to add. A few times a suspect has been named, but no one person has been connected to all of these cases.I am looking for any new information or other cases tied to these. Found dead from a gunshot wound to the head in November 1971 only 35 yards from body of Gloria Gonzales near Addicks Resevoir in Houston.Brenda Jones 13-July 2,1971 Last seen in Galveston walking to hospital. Found the next day in Galveston Bay. Died of some sort of head wound and reportedly had a slip stuffed into her mouth.Gloria Gonzales 19-October 28, 1971. Disappeared near her Houston home. Body found near Addick's Resevoir near body of Colette Wilson in November of 1971. Died of blunt-force trauma to the head.Alison Craven 12-November 9, 1971 Craven's mother left their Galveston apartment to run errands and when she returned Allison was gone. Three months later found some of her arm bones, hand bones, and teeth in a nearby field. The rest of her skeleton found on February 25, 1972, several miles away in a field near Pearland, a city about 20 miles south of Houston.Maria Johnson 15-November 11, 1971. Went missing from a Galveston mall along with friend Debbie Ackerman. Body later found bound and partially clothed in Texas City's Turner's Bayou. She had been strangled.Brooks Bracewell 12-September 6, 1974. Last seen along with Georgia Geer at a Dickinson convenience store while skipping school. Body later found in Alvin Swamp. She had been beaten to death. Also been reported they were at hotel on corner of I-45 & 517Karen Pretty - Age 28,May 10, 1978. Robert Pretty came home in north Houston from work. He found breakfast half eaten on the table and heard water dripping in the front bathroom. He found the bodies of his sons, Scott 7 and Mark 5 in the bathtub, he pulled them from the water. His wife was in the master bathroom, she had been strangled with a phone cord. Her hands and feet were bound with phone cord and she was submerged under water in the bathtub. She was still wearing her floral bathrobe and had not been sexually assaulted. The children were still in their pajamas and they were not sexually molested either. Scott was strangled with the bare hands of the assailant and drowned face first into the tub of water. Mark was strangled and drowned in the same fashion as his brother but he had also been beaten. The house had not been robbed and only one drawer was opened according to the police. Their car a 1978 Mercury Marquis was found in an unassigned parking spot at an apartment at 198 Goodson Drive. The case is remains unsolved and the perp(s) motive(s) unknown.Jane Doe #1 November 1, 1980. Found dumped along I-45 about five miles north of Huntsville. Had been strangled with pantyhose and was found nude. Had bitemarks on her body. Described as 5'4" tall, 110 pounds, with brown hair, about 14-17.Tamara Ellen McCurry 22-July 1, 1982 Last seen getting into an orange or yellow van in Galveston.Heidi Villerial Fye 23 -October 1, 1983.Vanished from League City convenience store after using payphone. Laura Miller also later disappeared from same convenince store. Found in April outside League City in 'Killing Fields', where Miller and two Jane Doe's were also found dead. She may have died from blunt-force trauma to the head.Sondra Ramber 14 October 23, 1983-Abducted in Santa Fe while on her way to the store. Never seen again.Laura Miller 16 Sepeember 1, 1984 Disappeared after using pay phone at same League City convenince store that Heidi Villerial Fye was last seen at. Found dead at Killing Fields where Fye had been found and two Jane Doe's were also later found.Michelle Doherty Thomas 17 -October 5, 1985 Last seen leaving her Alta Loma home to meet friends. She was never seen again.Jane Doe #2 Found February 3, 1986, in League City 'Killing Fields' where previously Heidi Villerial Fye and Laura Miller were found. Time of death estimated to be about six months before body was found. Doe #2 described as white, 23-26, red/brown hair. Probably died from a gunshot wound to the back. A reward of $40,000 is available to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the death of any of the Calder Road homicides.Headless Womans Body Found - Age ?. April, 1986 police recover a headless body from a garbage bag in a state park in Galveston, the body remains unidentified.Shelley Kathleen Sykes 19 - May 24, 1986. Sikes, was a University of Texas student who was home for the summer, was last seen just before midnight, when she left her job as a waitress at Gaido's beach-front restaurant in Galveston. Her car was found about 2 the next morning, stuck in deep mud along an Interstate 45 access road just south of the Galveston causeway. The driver's window was broken, and blood was spattered on the door and driver's seat. Despite an intensive search, Sikes was never found.Laurie Lee Tremblay -15. September 26, 1986. She was last seen alive walking from her family's apartment to the bus stop, her body was later found behind a restaurant.Police arrested Anthony Allen Shore (see suspects below) Shore once reportedly lived in League City, the Galveston city where the infamous "Killing Fields" are located. Where 4 other victims have were discovered between 1983 and 1991.Suzanne Rene Richerson 22 October 7, 1988. Vanished while working lobby of Casa Del Mar Condominiums. Sleeping co-worker in room above lobby heard a scream and a slamming car door at around 6:30 AM, then another scream before hearing a car drive away. Richerson's shoe was found in the parking lot and scratches found on lobby door. Her body has not been found.Jane Doe #3 -Discovered on September 19, 1989, in a wooded area on the east side of Houston. Estimated age 14-19. Described as between 5'2" and 5'5" and between 110 and 130 lbs. with brown hair. Estimated time of death 1 to 3 months before the discovery of her body. Cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head.Jane Doe #4 -Found August 8, 1991, in League City 'Killing Fields'. where Heidi Villerial Fye, Laura Miller, and Jane Doe #2 were found. Doe #4 had been beaten and strangled and her estimated time of death was up to four months prior to the discovery of her body. Described as white, 24-34, with brown hair.Maria del Carmen Estrada 21-August 16, 1992. Last seen going to Bus Stop. Body found a few hours later about one block from her apartment in a Dairy Queen drive-thru. Partially clad. Died from "Ligature Strangulation". Closest major highway where disappeared from I-10 W (Katy Fwy). Closest major highway where body found I-10W.Trellis Sykes 16-May 13, 1994. Abducted on way to school in Houston. Found later that same day in a field murdered.Diana Robbolar 9-Abducted about 11:30AM on Sunday, August 7, 1994, on way home after running an errand to "Convenience Store". Nude body found that afternoon behind vacant office Bldg, with 1 mile of where she disappeared. Sexually assaulted. Died from "Ligature Strangulation". Closest major highway where disappeared from I-10 W (Katy Fwy). Closest major highway where body found I-10WDana Sanchez 16-July 7, 1995, Vanished from pay phone , from "Convenience Store" after calling her boyfriend. She was going to hitchhike to his house north of Houston about 15 miles away. On July 14, 1995 a man called TV station KPRC and identified himself as a Serial Killer. Gave directions to remote field near I-45N and Richey where body of Dana Sanchez was found. She died from Ligature Strangulation or Tourniquet-Style. He gave the correct birthday of Dana but gave her first name of Dana's best friend. Closet major highway were disappeared from I-45N and N Loop 610. Closet major highway where body found I-45N.Lynette Bibbs 14-February 1, 1996Disappeared with friend Tamara Fisher from teen club in Houston. Found dumped on side of rural road near Cleveland, Texas, two days later. Partially clothed and shot twice in back of head and once in the thigh.Tamara Fisher 15-February 1, 1996. Last seen with friend Lynette Bibbs at Houston teen club. Found two days later dumped on side of rural raod near Cleveland, Texas. Fully clothed and murdered by gunshot wound to the head.Krystal Baker 13- March 5, 1996. Disappeared after calling friend from Texas City convenience store. Body found on same day 25 miles north of Texas City under Trinity River Bridge but not identified for two weeks. Baker had been stranged and beated, sexually assaulted.13 year old escapes March 11, 1996. Man forces her into truck while she walking near Miramar Shopping Center in Seabrook, TX. at gunpoint. Girl says she jumped out of car in La Porte, TX. An officer driving by saw girl fall out of moving green Ford Ranger Truck. Suspect is 34-45, 6 ft to 6'2" with graying black hair and beard. The truck was never seen again.Laura Smither 12 April 3, 1997, Abducted while jogging near her home in Friendswood. Found nude except for one sock two weeks later in Pasadena retention pond. She had been nearly decapitated.Sandra Sapaugh (escaped) 19- May 16, 1997 She was fixing a flat on NASA Road 1 in Webster, across I-45 from Friendswood. When she says William Lewis Reece was the man who kidnapped her by pulling a knife on her and forced her into his truck. He ordered her to undress but she opened the passenger door and jumped out of the fast moving truck. Reece was charged with aggravated kidnapping of Sapaugh. Reece also is a suspect in the murder of Laura Smither and the disappearance of Jessica Cain.Erica Ann Garcia 14-June 7, 1997 Disappeared from teen club in Houston. Found dead behind nearby vacant building. She had been strangled to death.Jessica Lee Cain 17 -August 17, 1997 Disappeared after leaving a Bennigan's restaurant in Webster. Her truck was found about two hours later along I-45 in La Marque. There was no signs of struggle and truck was operational. Witnesses report seeing Jessica along I-45 walking from her parked truck towards a red Isuzu Amigo that was parked behind. She was never seen again.Tina Flood 23-November 29, 1998 a police officer pulled over Jonathan David Drew and found Flood beaten and barely alive in his front passenger seat. A waitress, she had befriended Drew at a night club. She died days later and he was convicted for her death. Drew is also suspected of several sexual assaults and it is speculated he could be responsible for the slaying of Jessica Lee Cain. A search of his former home in League City, where his parents still lived produced a vial containing several human teeth. League City is the Galveston city where the infamous "Killing Fields" are located. Where 4 other victims have were discovered between 1983 and 1991. Though his age would not match the time line of the "Killing Fields" murders.Wanda May Pitts 18-Jan 23-1999 She was at work the lobby desk at the Lodge Motel in Shenandoah. A job she had for about two months and she did not have a car. William Ray Mathews a drifter confessed. He said he took her to one of the motel rooms where he sexually assaulted her before strangling her to death. He couldn't recall where he had put her body but about a year later her remains where found off an abandon gated drive way.Tracey Vickery Feb 1999-Weeks after Wanda May Pitts had vanished, Mathews attempted to abduct Vickery from the office where she sold mobile homes. The Country Time Mobile Homes just happened to located on the other side of I-45 from the Lodge Motel. He came in with a briefcase, sat down and wrote her a note. She was to do what he said because he had a gun and would kill her if she did not. He forced Vickery into his truck, then he drove off down I-45 with her but she leap from his moving truck. He tried to pull her back in by her hair but he couldn't, she got away and ran to the Gulf Cost Trades Center to save herself.Laura Ayala 13 March 10, 2002 Ayala departed from her home at approximately 10:15 PM and walked to the Broadway Convenience Store, which is less than 100 feet behind her residence. The store is housed inside the Conoco gas station in the 2600 block of Broadway Street. An employee told authorities that Ayala arrived at the store alone and bought a newspaper, then left.Witnesses reported observing a full-size, mid-1980s red / maroon cargo van near the store around the time of Ayala's disappearance. The vehicle was two-tone and had a large-sized white or light-colored stripe painted along its center and had a gray-colored bumper. The sliding door on the right side of the van had a window; witnesses said that the window behind the door may have been missing and plywood concealed its opening. It was apparently a work-related vehicle and appeared to be faded and in worn condition. Additional reports stated that the van had rear windows, but may have been missing its side windowsSara Trusty 23 July 12, 2002. -Last seen in Algoa near her church on her bicycle. Bike found in foyer of church the next day but Trusty was not found until July 28 dumped on a dike in Texas City.Maria Isabel Solis 16 March 3, 2003, Last seen in Houston getting off of city bus near her school. Fellow students and nearby motel manager heard screams. Solis has not been seen again. Update: It was reported on February 9, 2005, that the remains of Solis have been identified. Her body was recovered in a wooded area near Sugar Land, Texas, on August 13, 2003, but remained unidentified due to forensic laboratory backlogs. The body was discovered near a closed U.S. 59 turnaround at the Brazos River, about 20 miles southwest of Houston.Teen Girl (Terrorized) - July 29, 2004 a northwest Houston teen girl stranded on a southwest Houston freeway was stranded with a flat tire on the West Loop near Interstate 10. A man she believed was a tow-truck driver offered to help, he changed her tire and then tried to sexually assault her. The girl said she managed to escape by stabbing the man in the torso and shoulder with a pocketknife. The attacker has a tall, bald, clean-shaven man with a tattoo of a spider web on his left shoulder. He was driving a faded black, older model Chevrolet pickup with "Super Tow" painted in white letters on the side.Natasha Nicole Solidum 30, February 23, 2006 a brother and sister were walking their dog on the beach near the Flagship Hotel in the 2400 block of Seawall Boulevard shortly after 11 a.m. A woman began shouting at them about something floating in the surf and at first one of them thought it was a mannequin. The woman’s body was clad in black sweatpants, light-blue Asics running shoes with white ankle socks, a red, hooded sweatshirt and she still had her sunglasses on. She carried no identification but her body bore a distinct mark, a tattoo of a ring of flowers around her navel. Her body had probably only been in the water for about an hour because it was still warm and rigor mortis had not set in. An autopsy showed that a single gunshot wound to the chest. Investigators combed the area near 24th Street and Seawall with special metal detectors to try to find evidence. Solidum, 30, was an elementary school teacher in the Alief Independent School District. The Flagship Hotel jets out over the surf, close to where I-45 ends on Galveston Island.Terresa L. Vanegas 16- October 31,2006. A man on a motorcycle found her body just after noon Nov. 3. She was laying on the edge of a practice field near Dickinson High School. Police said that Terresa had been dead about two days by the time of the discovery. That would place her death mere hours after the last time police know she was seen, late on Oct. 31, at a Halloween party on California Avenue. They have ruled it as a homicide.
