To list all the books I have loved would take to long and far to many bytes. Some of the books I have read in the last two years that I would recommend are: "Under the Banner Of Heaven" By Jon Krakauer. "The Only Girl In The Car" By Kathy Dobie. "The Lovely Bones" By Alice Sebold. "Dancing On My Grave" By Gelsey Kirkland. "Killer Smile" By Lisa Scottoline. " The Killer Angels" By Michael Shaara( This one for the third time) "The Devil In The White City" By Erik Larson. "Triangle, The Fire That Changed America" By David Von Drehle. "A Season In Purgatory" By Dominick Dunne and "Reading Lolita In Tehran: A Memoir In Books" By Azar Nafisi.Three books that influenced me growing up are: "Profiles In Courage" By John Kennedy. "1984" By George Orwell. And "Lolita" By Valdimir Nabokov. For 3 different reasons.Kennedy; because he showed me that true courage often comes with a price. Orwell; because he showed me the danger of the majority. Nabokov; because he showed me the true face of obsession. ... New addition to the list "Without Sin; The Life and Death of the Oneida Community" By Spencer Klaw. A fascinating look at a nineteenth-century Utopian group. New Additions 5-18-07 "The Woods" by Harlan Coben. "Gone" by Jonathan Kellerman. "If I am Missing or Dead; A Sister's Story of Love, Murder, and Liberation" by Janine Latus. "Promise Not To Tell" By first time author Jennifer McMahon. McMahon's book is part ghost story, part murder mystery. It is set in rural Vermont and is really a great read. You will remember "The potato girl" long after you finish the book.
