He played different instruments (mainly keyboard, bass) in different Dutch reggae bands like Higher Ground and The Irie Connection. Nowadays he is working with the Dutch reggae backingband Out of Many.

For Black Star Foundation Asher E works together with our African artists on the production and recordings of new songs and riddims. Besides that he also produced some great African and Jamaican dubplates for Black Star Sound!

In 2006 Osagyefo (Ghana) recorded more than 14 reggae and dancehall songs in 7 studio days. In the following year, Asher E and Black Star Foundation worked on these songs, which resulted in the great reggae/dancehall album Blaze Fire, the first release on the brand-new Black Star label (August 2007).
