LA.DEE.DRED JOINS FULLY FULLWOOD TOUR for BALI REGGAE FESTIVAL
Los Angeles, CA, November 13, 2006
La.Dee.Dred (aka La.Dee.Dred/Yeshemebet), female reggae singer local to Los Angeles, California, announced today that she would be joining the Fully Fullwood Band during their tour, meeting them to perform in Bali, Indonesia, on December 16-17, 2006, for the Bali Reggae Festival.
La.Dee.Dred has contributed her talents to local and international projects including live performances and studio, with such artists as Ras Michael, Sly & Robbie, Isaac Haile Selassie, Dakeye, Jr. P, Black Ice, Flesh’n’Bone, 50 Cal, David Arkenstone, Tsegaye B. Selassie, First Church of Rasta Chambers Review, Bella Carib, Jr. Walker, Ta-Ta Vega, Jamie Collins, Brenda Holloway, Caston & Majors, Andre Crouch, One Love Band, Ghost Band, Phoxx Band, Howard McCrarey, Teri De Sario, The Heaven Band, Chic Band, The Real Deal Band, Julie Robbins, David A. Brooks, The John Barnes Gospel Project, Natural Hygh, Doc Holiday, 2-Gun/Los Angels, West Angeles Choir, and Roots & Thunder.
Her credentials also include acting/commercials for “Coming To America”, Eddie Murphy; “Twins”, Arnold Schwarzenegger; “L.A. Law”; Yamaha Keyboards; Azusa Street Revival Play. In February 2006, La.Dee.Dred was nominated for an award by The Black Music Awards in the Alternative Music category. Fully Fullwood, best known as the founder and leader of 70’s reggae band Soul Syndicate, was instrumental in shaping the sounds of Jamaican music. He has toured and/or recorded with some of the world’s most respected reggae artists, including Bob Marley, Joe Higgs, The Mighty Diamonds and many others. He was also a member of reggae superstar Peter Tosh’s band “Word, Sound and Power.” Fullwood’s artistry as a composer, singer, bassist, producer and all-around musician has complemented the works of many well-known musicians and bands for well over three decades.
The Bali Reggae Festival will be held at Pecatu Indah Resort, New Kuta, Bali. The festival includes Maxi Priest, Kymani Marley, Fully Fullwood Band “Tosh Meets Marley”, Lucky Dube, Skatalites, Don Carlos & Dub Vision, Third World and many more. (More Info: [email protected])
