I just love jazz - mostly fusion. Here are some of my all-time fave artists & pics: Earl Klugh, "Livin' Inside your Love", "The April Fools"; John Klemmer, "Fresh Feathers"; Dexter Wansal, "What The World Is Coming To", Michael Franks, "Popsycle Toes"; anything by Phyllis Hyman, Thelonious Monk, Herbie Hancock, etc. I love all the music played on the WAVE and various artists, past and present, i.e., Teena Marie, ~ANGIE BOFILL - SEND HER MUCH LOVE AND KUDOS FOR HER RETURN TO HEALTH! ~ Minnie Riperton (Mariah is a latter day Minnie with her 3+-range octaves), Luther Van Dross (MISS HIM MUCH!), and too many others to post here.
Most of Tom Cruise's movies, especially Mission Impossible, 1-3; ALL of Johnny Depp's movies, especially his earlier work: "Donny Brasco", "Blow", "Sleepy Hollow", "Dead Man", etc.; anything at all with Will Smith, especially: ("I, Robot", "Men In Black", "The Pursuit of Happyness"), and yes I still watch THE FRESH PRINCE incessantly, Laurence Fishburn, ("Hoodlum", "The Matrix-1", "What's Love Got To Do With It?"), Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburn (didn't really care for Matrix 2 & 3 - SORRY!); Aaliyah, Jet Li = AWESOME! ("Romeo Must Die"), Jet Li ("Cradle To The Grave", "Kiss of the Dragon" with Brigite Fonda - also an excellent actress); ANYTHING with Bruce and Brandon Lee in it - hell, I could even get stuck on a commercial with them in it, lol; the "Alien" movies with Sigourney Weaver; and of course, I like romantic comedies, anything with romance, especially the old CLASSIC movies (AMC, etc.), mysteries, and dramas.
Don't have too many fave programs that run on a regular basis, except for VH-1 & MTV, the "E!" channel, "Behind The Music" segments, "The True Hollywood Story", "The History Channel", "CSI", "The Biography Channel", "The Fashion Channel", "Investigative Reports" (A&E), "Court-TV" segments (did you check out the segments on "PSYCHIC DETECTIVES" ? Interesting!), and of course I love the "Entertainment Tonight" and "Access TV" programs. I kinda like to 'go Hollywood' now and then, lol! OH! Meant to say how I loved "THE SIMPLE LIFE" ! Really cool and entertaining - couldn't stop laughing at the "SIMPLE LIFE GOES TO CAMP" segments; really good. Paris and Nicole really ROCKED!
Oh, GOD , where do I begin?! I've been reading all of my life - started when in grade school (4th grade), and loved reading so much that I would 'live in books'. Have many fave authors: T.S. Elliott, Maya Angelou (of course), Kahil Gibran, E.E. Cummings, D.H. Lawrence, Ayn Rand, James Baldwin, just to name a few. A fave cousin of mine was an English teacher, of all things, so I read my head off - he had quite an extensive library, and always made me give him his books back, damnit. I also have lots of books on ASTROLOGY: "Linda Goodman's Sun Signs" was the book that got me started on my path to Astrology; "Heaven Only Knows" and "Astrology For The Millions" by Grant Lewi, an astounding astrologer, now demised were the 'bible' of my early astro-days; "The Round Art" by Manly P. Hall is an exceptional book, which I often have used and quoted on my former website ... Believe me, the list is long and I can't even remember many names and titles; so I won't 'go there' .... but you can take my word for it.....
My Mother ; she was a handicapped Mom, but raised 3 kids by herself and held down a good job for many years - she always kept food on the table, kept us kids well-dressed and pretty much out of mischief (except for ME in my teen years! Yikes!) , kept all the bills paid, always had a new car when the time was right, and stepped out looking glam as she could. She was a strong woman and I miss her much. I was her 'problem child' .... can't you tell, LOL!. Wonder why???! ;-) Also, a teacher in Philly was very instrumental in my 'growing' phase (before I relocated here to Cali - name not mentioned for privacy purposes); he had a real hand in 'molding' me, and I owe him many thanks for his help and support.OTHER HEROES: BRUCE LEE (a fellow Sag) - his life experiences showed one how to be strong and disciplined, and to KICK ASS when and where needed. His son, BRANDON LEE - he, too, is a hero, for he lived his life to the best of his ability, even under the shadow of his famous father. He showed how one could surpass the limits of family, race, sex, or religion. Disciplined, focused, fair and pragmatic. A very cool, together and, not to mention HANDSOME, dude. HOTTIE!MINNIE RIPERTON: Born near my Mom's birthday - a super strong SCORPIO - faced illness and death and still kept on going into infinity, all the time sharing her incredible gifts of song and music with the masses. My hat's off to ALL strong and inspirational women, in all walks of life, everywhere!STEVIE WONDER: Yeah, he's the tops; a truly wonderful, creative, gifted, caring, giving, and inspiring man. He has shown that limits of any kind can be surpassed, especially those of 'handicap' status. STEVIE, YOU ROCK!
