The Director's Cut® is a unique Festival, created purely as a vehicle to promote and further the careers of new filmmaking talent as well as create commercial and promotional opportunities for the established members of the film community.
The Director's Cut® is formated as a QUARTERLY Festival where filmmakers may submit their Short Film, Animation, Documentry or Trailer for consideration by The Director's Cut® Committee comprising of noted members of the film community and film educational institutions. We already have support from the Dean of NYU Tisch and the film departments of New School, Columbia and Hunter. Twenty Entries are selected and screened on The Director's Cut® website (www.thedirectorscut.org) for a potential audience of millions to vote for their favorite films as well as being streamed to hand held devices to reach a further demographic. The 10 highest scoring films then make it through to The Director's Cut® Liv e Event where they compete in front of a live Audience and The Director's Cut® Panel of Judges comprising of established and celebrity Directors, Producers, Film Critics, Agents and Actors.
