Welcome to my space! I live in beautiful Drake Bay, Costa Rica, where the rainforest meets the ocean!
FROM PARALEGAL TO PARADISE
I was born in the big OC, California. I was independant paralegal while working for a non-profit foundation in Santa Cruz, California, where I moved in 1992. Then I went on a wild dolphin swim in the Bahamas that totally changed my life! I started a company to provide swimming with dolphins to others and ended up quitting my job and moving to Coconut Grove, Florida to run them.
Several months later I visited Costa Rica, a place that had always called me, and I ended up finding my perfect spot and moving here just three months later.
I founded a non-profit foundation called Vida Marina and we are working to create a protected marine sanctuary here off the Osa Peninsula. There are groups of hundreds, and even thousands of dolphins here, and almost year round humpback whales....a really special place. Just check out the photographs I have taken above! Now my photos have been published in magazines, books, newspapers and articles all over the world. I am selling them now to support Vida Marina, so check them out!
I used to own an eco lodge here, but recently converted it into a marine conservation and research center so we can concentrate 100% on conservation and protection.... there is a lot of commercial fishing going on and it is adversely affecting the marine life. I am originally from California and have lived here in beautiful Drake Bay for 10 years now. Besides all the marine life, I am surrounded by rainforest, the whole thing, monkeys, toucans, macaws... every day I see something new. Life is good!
I am someone who lives my dreams and follows my heart, and I hope that you do too! This is obviously the super short version. I have written about my magical experiences and divine path in several short stories.
