Stina Engelbrecht is a songwriter, lyricist and a writer (publishing deal with sonyatv/ picnic music and Ersatz). She is also the co-founder and one of three singers in her folk/pop band Sarek who mix pop, dance rytmes and influences from Swedish folk music. They have been competing in ESC, Sweden two times (2003, 2004), have sold almost 40.000 albums and are just about to finish their third.
Sareks music is also a mix between lyrics written in a vivid way for the listener to see inner pictures and music who is trying to catch a feeling of both the present and the past. In the same way as the sound of the group's ancient instruments meets today's modern music production (Jens Engelbrecht/ Nattsärk productions and Leif Larsson (who´s been working with for instance Faith Hill, Louise Hoffsten, Björn Skifs) stands for the new production).
Stina also writes fantasybooks and her first book “Alvin-eldpojken†with amazing illustrations by Peter Bergting (The Portent, Harry Potter) was released in december 2007 by the publishing house Ersatz and as a music audiobook on the recordcompany Nons (Stina wrote the music on the album with Emil Nilsson).

By the High Coast, the green forests completely surrounds the dark mountains. The trees grow close together and the old mountains reach high.
