About Me
SÃlvio Lamanche was born in the 3rd of March of 1979, in the city of Olhão, Algarve. Around five years old, he initiated the piano studies, but soon he realized that it was not the instrument that completed him.
At the age of 17, in a group of friends, he had the possibility to play guitar for the first time and since then he started his studies, always by himself and taking off his doubts with school friends.
Meanwhile, he meets José Francisco (Marenostrum), with which had his first guitar lessons and who becomes the only direct responsible for SÃlvio being an unconditional guitar lover, nowadays.
At the age of 19, he meets Domingos Caetano, for him, the stage master, who taught him very much and shows him the true meaning of a live concert. At the same time, he entered at the one project that gave him more personal joy, until today, the Rockestra (classic music project played with electric guitars), in which he was responsible for the first guitars, position given to the first violins in the orchestras.
Domingos Caetano was the project coordinator / creator, but also leader of a rock band called Iris and in the year of 2001 he needed a guitarist for following the band in his live concerts and invited SÃlvio for the summer tour of that year.
In the end of that season he decided to leave the band and also the music, and he was absent of the stages until the end of 2003, when he receives a new invitation of his master to make a new tour in 2004, 2005 and 2006, here he recorded a DVD with an orchestra, in the mythical Faro concentration of motorbikes, with 50 000 people attending.
In the end of that year, in the New Year’s Eve, he makes the final concert with the band and begins 2007 with new ideas and projects in mind. In August of 2007 he receives an invitation from Juan Bernabé, to compose the Vitória eagle hymn. Juan is the coach and the responsible for the flights of the eagle, before all the Benfica games.
For the moment he collaborates in several ambitious projects as a guitarist, composer and producer, in the most diverse music styles, since the Blues, Rock to the world music.
