John Pedersen Piano

A tender broadcast of magic from the heart

About Me

John Pedersen is a pianist-church organist-keyboardist from Southern California. Although formally trained in classical music, John plays in multiple styles, such as, jazz, new age and rock without hesitation. With five albums released in the past decade, John’s listeners have a great variety of music to inspire them. The new album, GROOVIDI, is a smooth jazz-chill project with several solo piano tracks and is highly recommended. Before that in 2006, PARADISE won over many instrumental music fans with four stellar piano tunes and a wonderful mix of smooth jazz and chill out electronica. WHEN SUN BROKE THROUGH was released in 2002 and showcased an upbeat new age sound with piano stylings along with a fair share of ambient textures. LEGEND AND LANDSCAPE was a 2000 "New Millenium" offering with a strong Native American influence with orchestrated tunes and lush soundscapes. John’s debut, WHITE OWL, was unveiled in 1997 and featured a mystical new age sampling that included, you guessed it, piano. Mr. Pedersen has included, throughout his discography, a number of talented musical guests. Great musicians like Andrew Machin (guitar-bass-percussion), Adrienne Nims (sax-flute), Jeff Winckler (drums) and Mark Sarno (drums-percussion) have all added a deeper dimension to John’s sound. However, one common element has been present throughout John’s career: the piano. In fact, John is a piano instructor with around 43 talented students. He is also a piano accompanist for choirs. So it’s only natural for Mr. Pedersen to be playing the piano in a recording studio! To listen to John’s music, go to his website at www.findingparadisejazz.com or check out this My Space profile. John’s recordings are available at iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby. When searching on those sites, please use "JOHN PEDERSEN".

Sounds Like: Someone who could serenade you in an upscale lounge, while you eat fine cuisine and drink the wine of your choice, with the love of your life. Or, if you were the last man or woman on earth, and could wish for your very own personal pianist who could keep you company, I would sound like him or her. In fact, if you were stuck on a deserted island, a pianist like me, could brighten your days and nights and prevent you from losing your mind!
