About Me

Siobhan singing the Welsh National Anthem (Mae Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau) at Celtica '07 festival in Port Adelaide.
(Unfortunately the mike wasn't on for the first couple of seconds...)
14 year old Siobhan from Adelaide, South Australia, is a classically trained singer with a pure, soprano voice. Born in North Wales to a Welsh father and Irish mother, she has certainly inherited the rich singing tradition of her Celtic roots.
Siobhan has been singing since she was very young. At 9 years of age she gave her first major solo performance in a "Riverdance" style show called "Shades of Green" which toured South Australia. She recorded her first CD "With Love From Siobhan" at age 10 as a gift for family and friends.
When Siobhan was 12 she gave a solo performance of "My Lagan Love" at the Adelaide Festival Theatre. At 13 she gave a 40 minute solo recital for Recitals Australia and will be giving another recital in their next season. In December 2007 she sang at Port Adelaide's Celtica '07 festival, and has been booked for Celtica '08 in December this year.
Another highlight this year was singing at the Adelaide Fringe as special guest French singer/harpist Cecile Corbel . It was this that inspired Siobhan to start taking harp lessons.
Siobhan has performed in two Youth Operas at the South Australian State Opera's Studio: playing a Gingerbread Girl in the children's chorus of "Hansel and Gretel" and Mozarts sister, Marianne, in "A Boy Called Wolfie". Both operas were directed by Patrick Lim with Anthony Hunt as Musical Director. She has also appeared many Music Theatre productions around Adelaide.
Siobhan is a soloist/chorister with Adelaide's St Francis Xavier Cathedral Choir where she receives a Choral Scholarship. She is a winner of many local Eisteddfods and competitions and is rapidly becoming recognised as one of South Australia's top emerging talents. She is regularly invited to perfom in concerts, recitals, festivals, musicals, weddings etc. where she captivates her audience with her "hauntingly beautiful" voice.
