Kevin Tyler; born Jan.14, 1955 in Flint Michigan. Mother : Margaret Savage from Belfast, N. Ireland Father : Eugene H. Tyler from Springfield, Mo. Started playing highland bagpipes at 10 years of age, learned guitar at 16, and suddenly realized I could sing somewhat. Regular performer at the Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly Twp., Michigan. work at: Delphi Flint East, 30 years seniority at GM. (for all the good it's doing me) Planning to move to Ireland soon, since Bush is exporting jobs overseas. I'm just hippie doing Irish music. Traditional stuff, since I don't write. I arrange trad. songs, and do them my way. And to those who may feel that the dedication on my CD of the song Black Velvet Band to Caroline, who plays our Queen at MRF, is unseemly... know that it has nothing to do with her position as Queen, but as an intensely personal nod to her as my friend and my recognition of her place in my heart as the person at festival who truly made me feel like I belonged at a time when I felt so very alone after my parents' death. I love you Caroline... forever.
