About Me

Our Station can be found at our main website: www.radioirft.com. What started as a way for us to listen to the music we loved while brewing in the garage, has now become a full time presence on the web. We feature all of the older established groups, but we know there is so much more that we can grow into. As part of that first growing stage we launched a new feature on the station that began Sunday, January 28th, at 5 pm. This new show has given everyone a chance to hear the newest artists daily from 2-4, both am and pm so that we can have it available for all(expanded to 2 hours 12.12.2007). If you have a recorded group, and would like to be include in this segment the by all means, contact us and let us know!
Current Schedule for shows all times Pacific Standard (California)
The New Artists Showcase
This show runs twice a day 7 days a week from 2 to 4 both a.m. and p.m.
The Gaelic Block
This show runs twice a day from 4 to 5 both a.m. and p.m.
The Folk Hour
This show runs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5 to 6 p.m.
The Bluegrass Sets
This show runs Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 5 to 6 p.m.
Cool Cymru
This show runs twice a day from 1-2 both a.m and p.m. Here is where you can hear all of the Welsh artists that contributed to this years St. David's Day Celebration
The Friday Night CD Showcase!
This show features 3 full CD's, the way they were released, every Friday night starting at 6:00 P.M. see our main website for this weeks Artists/CD's at www.radioirft.com

Hello and Welcome new friends

We are currently heard in 40 countries on 6 continents and growing with our listener base at right around 500 station logins per day. The whole idea of our "MySpace" page was to set up a place where like minded folks could meet, and where new artists could get exposeure with air play on the station. That said, I invite ANY and all of you to feel free to take a look at our main web site

This site has been improving daily and features those groups from "MySpace" that were kind enough to accept the following offer:
We would like to play your music on our internet radio station. We are featuring a show called the "New Artists Showcase" that runs twice a day, from 2-4 both am and pm (Pacific Standard time) 7 days a week. If you are willing to submit music for the show we will place your groups name on the featured section of our main page with a link to your website, we will also place your group on our "New Artists" page, with a link to your website as well. Your music will run randomly every day and we will also feature you on the "Michael Francis Show" which runs Monday through Friday from 6-8 PM(This is a LIVE show returning in January!). Either I (Michael Francis) or you, can do a brief audio intro for your music which we will play before you are featured. Submit as many songs as you would like for play, but understand we WILL play them all! so, if you only have 1 tune, we will play it, if you send an album, we will play that as well.
For those that have already contributed thier music we make this offer as well: Feel free to contribute as many tunes and as often as you would like, we have no issues playing you again!Our goal is a simple one, to grow this station into something that all can enjoy, while at the same time playing as many new artists as possible.
