About Me

Something Nasty In The Woodshed are a band. Not a folk band, nor a rock band but a band with their toes dappling in both ponds. Some two and a half times larger than a duo, they take the reels and jigs from the attics of their ancestors and plug them into the national grid. With songs of Jacobean derring-do and sea-going grief, they bring a refreshing blast of tempo and rhythm to the folk traditions of the British Isles without the aid of dodgy knitwear. With a line up featuring guitars (hollow and solid, six string and one with four thick enough to tow a barge), mandolins, banjos, bagpipes (digital and analog...eh?.....) and drums, Something Nasty have to travel in a really large van.
