She has gained a reputation internationally as an extremely talented and expressive harpist.Singer, songwriter and guitarist, IAN WYN ROWLANDS has been described by T.V personality Lyn Ebenezer as 'one of the best undiscovered talents performing in Wales today'. In recent years, Ian has been performing professionally as a solo guitarist and singer playing original material and traditional ballads in both Welsh and English. A founder member of bands 'Tra Bo Dau' and 'Abenaki', and having published two albums with them, Ian is busy preparing new material for a third solo album.JASPER SALMON has been playing the fiddle since the age of eight. After some time playing in pubs and clubs round Essex, he studied violin and viola at Colchester Institute School of Music, where he joined forces with Clive Carroll and Beccy Carroll as the trio 'Back To Basics' playing widely around the UK festival and folk music scene throughout the 1990s. He has appeared as a session player on numerous albums and played in a variety of acts from bluegrass to prog rock. You can buy individual tracks or all of Dragons using the 'buy' buttons below. Sounds Like: "Triban are a trio hailing from Aberystwyth and "Dragons" is an album of many parts. Part traditional, part self penned; part sung in English, part sung in Welsh; part light, part melancholic. It's also an album that is greater than the sum of those parts. The harp and fiddle inter-twine like ivy on oak, the strength of one, supporting the delicate threads of the other, often switching roles to allow the other to shine. The vocal, strong through out, but more empassioned in Welsh, delivers with feeling, which just leaves the guitar to provide a backbone to build out the band." - FATEA
