Long Hair & Scottish Kilts -- Celtic Music & Cats

About Me

Hola!
I'm Marc. I am a cat lover, podcaster and a Celtic and folk singer/songwriter from Austin, Texas.

CELTIC CAT LOVER
I have two tabby cats named Tiziano and Torre. They are my sweet children and best friends. I spend a lot of time with my boys except when I'm on the road playing music. Yes, I love my cats so much I've been called a "Cat Bard" because I released a CD in 2005 called Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers . The CD has received critical acclaim from cat lovers worldwide and is one of the best-selling CDs on CD Baby.

CELTIC PODCASTER
I love podcasting! I currently publish six or more podcasts (I kinda lost track). They range from Celtic music to Renaissance festivals to cats. They keep me busy when I'm not touring.

MarcSONGS PODCAST
I am an independent musician. I self-produce and record a lot of music solo and publish it in my MarcSongs Podcast . Every Tuesday, I release a new MP3 that you can download for free from one of my solo albums that include a tight-range of music including Irish drinking songs, New Age instrumentals, American folk songs, and acoustic alternative folk. My record label features my music, Celtic and Renaissance festival music and music from my band, Brobdingnagian Bards.

BROBDINGNAGIAN BARDS
On the road, I perform with the Brobdingnagian Bards with my friend Andrew McKee. We play Celtic and folk music with a comedic twist, throughout the nation at Science Fiction Conventions and Renaissance festivals. We were called the "Godfathers of Celtic MP3s" when we dominated the charts on the late MP3.com and have won two Austin Music Awards.
