About Me

I am a worshipper and a singer-songwriter in God's House, a published author on Worship, and a teacher of the Word of Christ. I was born again in Christ in my teens in a great spiritual revival that swept through Southern Zimbabwe and spread throughout the country years ago. Thats when my singing ministry started. My heart was full of a wonderful joy to express, and I had awesome things of Christ to show and tell. I loved to sing and I had a word from the Lord. This combination seemed good to me, so there it was. I penned my first song by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, learnt to play an acoustic guitar and got the music going.

The Lord used many people along the way to give shape to my ministry - my gifted husband Jonathan, my family, my Pastor, my Church, the Family Singers, many friends and relatives, and people in the music and media industries. I have not looked back since I started twenty-five years ago and, I must confess, I have no complaints about the Lord's dealings with me. He is mighty good and wonderfully faithful. His love is excellent in every way!

My Heart-felt Book: A SONG SHALL RISE:

My first book, A SONG SHALL RISE, was published in 2005. : In the fourteen chapters of the book, I highlight the nature, power and beauty of song when used in worship and praise in a manner that is acceptable and pleasing to God. : :

: The book vividly and methodically highlights worship as God's chosen way of relating with people, and music and praise as necessary vehicles in maintaining and growing that relationship. : It challenges the age-old notion of Christian music as just a noble hobby and preoccupation, some clean entertainment at shows and concerts or the church's Sunday morning routine engagement. : Song and worship are portrayed as a unique, God-ordained and Christ-equipped force which, in the right hands, moves and shakes the world to accomplish God's purposes in the earth – delivering from evil, giving life, building people, families and nations, and bringing unbelievers into fellowship with Christ. : :

The subject matter is deeply researched and abundantly supported by Scriptures. : It is placed in a historical perspective from which readers are taken on a fascinating journey through the centuries to the present day church, with the spotlight always on the centrality of praise and worship as the medium through which the Church is transformed and renewed. : The book is tightly packed with “constantly-looked-for” information laid out in a pleasant and user-friendly format that readers say is eminently readable. :

MY SONG, MY PRAISE:

My heart is fixed, O God

MY COOL PEOPLE:
Elder A. Wutawunashe

One of the coolest people I know is my father in law, the best role model I have had for soul winning. : He is a retired educationist and will be 83 years old this September. : Almost everyone in urban and rural Masvingo, a very large province that spans the southern part of Zimbabwe, stops to chat with him or tells a story about him. I soon learnt that it is because he has witnessed Christ to them or to someone in their family at one time or another. :
