Welcome

About Me

Pamela Rutendo Ndengeya was born on 22 September 1991 in Bulawayo. She did her primary education at Manyame Primary School, later moving to Selbourne Primary School in Belvedere and finally to Arboretum Primary School in Derby, UK. Pamela is currently a year 10 student (the equivalent of form 3) at Bemrose Community School in Derby. The eldest of three siblings, Pamela started showing an interest in music at a very tender age. From age six she could already sing along most of her favourite songs from my collection of music. The moment we realised that Pamela was talented in music my wife and I started encouraging and giving her guidance. I remember buying her first mini-keyboard in early 2001.Pamela started singing in Church at age nine at Glad Tidings Inner City Church in Harare. I remember after her maiden performance in Church one lady came up to me after the service and said 'Mr Ndengeya, when your daughter was singing I cried'. I asked her why and she said, 'She just made me cry.' Such was the impact of Pamela to those who heard her. With encouragement and support from the Church Band led by Andy Moyo, Pamela recorded and released her first album in October 2002 called 'Muponesi Wangu'. She was only 11 years old then. The album was well received by the public with the title track video featuring on the top 100 videos of the year on ZBC's end of year review. Muponesi wangu had eight tracks, He'll understand, Oh happy Day, Muponesi wangu, My prayer, Hakuna Wakaita sa Jesu, Rumbidza Mwari, Nokutenda, God's Name and Muponesi wangu (instrumental). Whilst the majority of the songs were composed or adapted by me, Pamela made her own significant contribution on the album in that the melody to the track 'My Prayer was actually her own.'Pamela moved to the UK in November 2002, where she has continued to pursue her passion of singing for the Lord. She was in the Praise and Worship Team of the African Service of the Alvaston Methodist Church in Derby in 2005. Not only has she perfected her keyboard playing skills but also her vocals and song writing skills. Her last album "Vimba Nashe" bears testimony to this. On this album Pamela plays keyboard on all but one track, she does the percussion programming and all her vocals. My work with Pamela is now more of a partnership rather than me telling her what to do and how to do it.The album has eight tracks, Vimba Nashe, Mwana Muparadzi, My saviour, God Bless You My friend, Ndorangarira, Josefa, I believe and My Saviour Remix.Pamela likes to do original material, on this album there is only one adapted song, which is Mwana Muparadzi. Those who have heard and seen Pamela acknowledge that this young lady is certainly gifted and talented. Vimba Nashe was recorded and produced in the UK. Both Pamela's albums, Muponesi Wangu (2002) and Vimba Nashe (2005) are distributed in Zimbabwe by Gramma Records. Zvinzwireiwo mega.Rexford Ndengeya (Father and Producer)
