Day By Day are 3 sisters: Nongoma (20), Thembi (16) and Nandi(15). The band started in Zurich, Switzerland, way back in 2000, together with their friends from the neighbourhood. They performed as a 4 some together with Valentina De Micheli, their long-time friend and neighbour until 2005. Now these 3 talented sisters are based in their mother's country of birth: South Africa. They wow music lovers of all ages cutting across different genres from r&b, soul, funk, pop through jazz and reggae. Day By Day's repertoire covers a wide spectrum of issues and topics, from peace and friendship to fun and entertainment. Their lyrics and their unique sound, makes one bubble with elation.
What is so special about the band is that the girls write all their music, music and lyrics which makes their show have such a distinctive and unique flavour.
Their parents are musicians from the group Children of Nandi: father is singer/bassist/choirmaster Themba Ndlovu from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and mum is Jabu: singer and dancer from Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. Nongoma, the band leader and founder is a talented songwriter and arranger: an incredible singer.You like what you hear....
