Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies." Proverbs 31:10

About Me

Hello, my name is Lady Margaret Burroughs. I presently live in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. I am an author, lifestyle coach, playwright, poet, mentor, and entrepreneur. I am a woman with a high calling in Christ Jesus. I walk always in a spirit of excellence with my head held high. No matter what I face in this life, I know that "no weapons formed against me can or shall prosper." God has my back! Thank you for stopping by for a visit. I feel honored that you thought enough to do so.
Writing has been my passion for as far back as I can remember. My creative spirit is above all things, God-given. Through my writing, I pray that you are touched in a way that will encourage, empower and inspire you to keep pushing toward your destiny.
My most recent book, "Reflections of a Queen," is a powerful book that was inspired by God to help women refocus, reaffirm and refine. This is a book I would love to see in the hands of every young sistah. Our young ladies need encouraging. Actually, we all need encouraging. When was the last time you took a little "me time?" "Reflections of a Queen," is a great book to curl up alone with or for some sistah talks. To read an excerpt from the book or purchase your copy, go to Reflections of a Queen or copy and paste www.thethingsofgod.org in your web browser. Be on the lookout for my next book this summer/fall entitled, "Following God Through The Process."
Now about you: You are a beautiful bouquet designed by the very hand of God. Keep your head high, dream big and never stop believing in the impossible. Whenever you are faced with trials and tribulations, remember you are more than a conqueror. You are powerful, strong, dignified, and most of all God's queen. What I draw on in my days of struggle which thank God are few, are the wise words of queenly women like my grandmother and former first lady who have gone home to glory, and other beautiful women paving the way for me. Stay encouraged. Be happy in Christ and let no one break your spirit. No matter how far down you have fallen, you can always get up. No matter how far away from the Father you have wandered, you can always come home. You are a blessed woman, highly favored of God. You are a beautiful queen, the light of God's heart. Always remember you are a light reflecting Christ.

My Interests

Black women are a beautiful gift from God to this world. Sometimes, I browse through the beautiful faces in my friends list and my heart swells as I look at what God has done. He created you, molding you, shaping you and forming you into a wonderfully and fearfully made creature. No matter where you end up in life whether up or down, know that whether you are milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or somewhere in between, have a big nose, small lips, or just plain thick hips, you are BEAUTIFUL! No two of us are alike. We are made in the image of God. Love on yourself. Hug yourself. Pat yourself on the back. You are worth it. Dream big. Live your life at its best, and never forget that the race is not given to the swift nor to the strong, but to the one that endures until the end. Keep running and never ever forget you are a woman of excellence. Always walk in that office. Head up! Back straight. Eyes straight ahead. You beautiful black queen!
MySpace Countdown Clocks

I'd like to meet:

A wise old woman. They have much to share. These wonderful sages are our seasoned queens. They have lived through it, rose above it, and walked over it. They have cried, fought and struggled from mess to message. They can inspire, encourage and embrace all in one breath. The next time you are in the presence of one and she wants to share, listen. I would also like to meet each and every one of my new friends on myspace. You just do not know how much you have inspired me. Whoever said there are not any strong, virtuous, courageous and gifted black women out there should take a look at my friend space. We are out there in great numbers! Together in one space, we make one beautiful bouquet.
