Welcome to the land of ...Sorrow and Rain...

About Me

Clay Schurman started playing guitar at age 15 ... First band was Clayton J and the Funky Ducks, with Darrin Neale, Corey Hendren, and Troy Wakefield ... Then came a series of bands that had one show to there credit ... Clay and Darrin formed a Duo named Dirty Girty ... We made many cassettes of there stupidity ...(If any one has a copy please get in contact with me) ... Clay then joined Roadnoize with Brian Stromme, Ben Lablanc, and Glen Randle ... not likeing playing other peoples music he formed Disconsolate with Brennan Krowchenko, "Duff" Daschuck and Jon Fast, ... After a series of personal conflicts Clay quite playing music, except for the four walls of his apartment ... Eight years later relocating in Saskatoon Saskatchewan Clay has returned ....

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Clay Schurman -Vocals/ Lead and Rythm guitar So Far any keyboard work by Del Ryan
Influences: I started out listening to what my parents listened to ... Old Classic country music, George Jones, Webb Pierce, Faron Young, Hank Williams Sr., and Elvis Presly to name a few... IN 1986, Hanging out with my older brothers and sister, I picked up on Lou Gramm, Heuy Lewis and the news and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers ... In 1987, I devoted my life to music upon hearing Guns N' Roses and Lita Ford, I think I spent most of 1988 just listening to those two artists ... From the I found Ozzy, Faith No More, Mr, Bungle, AC/DC, and Grim Reaper ... I traded a Grim Reaper Cassette for Suicidal Tendencies, I got into Exodus, Overkill, Nuclear Assult and Testament ... I was finding faster and hearder music all the time ... I read about Cannabul corpes and had to get into them ... Carcass, Obituary, Deicide and Pungent Stench ... Along the way I was also listening to Nirvana, and Pearl Jam .... I was a little behind the times and when I switched to CD's My first CD was Eric Clapton unplugged ... I followed it by Neil Young ... from the I found Jewel and Melissa Etheridge ... I really love the 80's hairbands and I also love acoustic music ... I really like and respect the music I have found here on my space ... Vanja, Kim Fontaine, Ray Whitton and the likes found here in my freind list ... I totally support my local area, there is sooo much talent here in this little city ... Saskatoon!!!
