Kick start your career with two unique songwriting courses. Offered by the University of Saskatchewan Centre for Continuing & Distance Education, these courses feature
Level 1:
• Sessions on structure and form, writing hooks, creative processes and the craft of turning your ideas into songs
• Collaboration exercises and work with your peers
• Presentations from industry experts on:
• Co-writing, Publishing and the Collaborative Process with Jay Semko of the Northern Pikes and songwriter/composer for the hit TV series “Due Southâ€
• In Studio Production and Recording Workshop with David J Taylor, producer, engineer, songwriter and music supervisor.
• The last class takes place at a recording facility. All fees are included.

Level: all levels of experience

Level 2:
• Take everything you’ve learned in Level 1 and apply it to your songwriting
• Get constructive criticism and feedback while you are in the process of writing new songs
• Work independently or collaborate with others in the group
• The last class takes place at a music performance venue and gives you the opportunity to showcase your material to the public.
• Also includes a presentation on The Music Industry: where it’s at and where it’s headed with Julie Desjarlais of Sask Music
