About Me

Liz Madden is a very talented and accomplished performer and songwriter. As a vocalist, Liz moves easily between Celtic, Jazz, Folk and Classical music with great sensitivity and brings light and dark to every aspect of both her singing and songwriting. Her voice leaves a lasting impression with it's deep emotion and energy.Liz has just completed her first solo album “Going Home” featuring thirteen new songs. This album takes you on a journey from Folk to Ambient to Celtic and back again!Liz, formerly a founder member of Rua, has also co-written three beautiful albums (Rua, Dream-Teller, Whisper) with Irish group Rua. These albums have been released worldwide with songs featuring on many compilation albums and tracks such as “Awen” being used in the Film “Unborn but Forgotten” and “Dum Dumda Diddle” being used as part of the Fuji Finepix Television ad campaign throughout Asia in 2006.Her collaborations with various writers most recently include French Writer and Producer JMZ. Together they have written a number of tracks for TV & Film. They are currently working on a new project and a dedicated myspace page for this will be up and running shortly.As a Writer, Songwriter, Performer and Producer, Liz Madden has been involved in Theatre and music production for many years and has worked extensively as a performer in studio, Theatre, Radio and Television. Music has always been in her family. A founding member of VOX Music School, Liz is also the Head of Music at Westside School for the Performing Arts. In 2003 Liz journeyed to America where she had the honour of becoming a Native American Pipe Carrier.A former lead with the Drawing Room Opera Company, Liz has a Diploma in Music and an Associate Diploma in Musical Theatre from the London College of Music. Liz is also an Associate of the Irish Board of Speech & Drama. Liz has performed worldwide and headlined at the 7th China International Folk & Art Festival, the World Music Festival Israel, Lisdoonvarna Festival and the Festival Interceltique de Lorient. She has performed acoustically and with full orchestra. One of the most memorable of performances for Liz recently was the inaugural Nobel Women’s Initiative International Conference where she performed in front of an International audience including five of the Nobel Peace Laureates.
