About Me

I am fulfilling my destiny, writing words and creating worlds. Anything else I do in my life pales in comparison.
I am a writer of fiction and poetry. I'm currently working on my first novel which should be completed sometime in 2008. I will release further details about the book once it is finished. Check out my blog for excerpts from the novel.
I have great disdain for people who judge too quickly. Don't assume you know me by how I look, what I wear, or the music I listen to. If you would like to get to know me on a more personal level, I would suggest we go for drinks and chat.
I am somewhat of a recluse, thoroughly enjoying my solitude, something that is ultimately necessary both for my writing and my sanity, but I am always up for going to a good club, bar, museum, or movie. Coffee shops, bookstores, or the combination of the two are also favorite spots of mine. On a rare occassion, I also enjoy a trip to the park.
My friends are a very important part of my life. I have a handful that I trust implicitly and who mean a great deal to me. They have been in my life for a long time and they always will be, nothing will change that. The worst thing anyone can do is try to get between us or try to make me choose who I'm friends with.
I believe that anything worth having or achieving cannot come without discipline, motivation, confidence and self-sacrifice. Luck plays no part in anything of real, true value or accomplishment.

"What you need to know about the past is that no matter what has happened, it has all worked together to bring you to this very moment. And this is the moment you can choose to make everything new. Right now." ~Author Unknown
"One cannot and must not try to erase the past merely because it does not fit the present." ~Golda Meir"I was a man who thrived on solitude; without it I was like another man without food or water. Each day without solitude weakened me. I took no pride in my solitude; but I was dependent on it. The darkness of the room was like sunlight to me." Your Personality Is Like Cocaine
You're dynamic, brilliant, and alluring to those who don't know you.
Hyper and full of energy, you're usually the last one to leave a party.
Sometimes your sharp mind gets the better of you... you're a bit paranoid!
At your best: You're confident, euphoric, and feel like you're on top of the world.
What people like about being around you: You're intense and overpowering.
What people dislike about being around you: You can be arrogant... and a bit of a jerk.
How addicted people get to you: Incredibly addictive. And hanging around with you isn't cheap! What Drug Is Your Personality Like? "The things that bring us together can also tear us apart." ~D. Michael Hardy

My Interests

Los Angeles...CURRENTLY READING... And...Disappear here: The Gothic lifestyle...

I'd like to meet:

People with style, intelligence, and class.
Any established writers or first time novelists out there as well as writers local to Los Angeles,CA and the Tampa Bay area, Florida.
I met author Bret Easton Ellis two years ago at a signing in Los Angeles. It was an experience I'll never forget. He hobbled onstage with crutches and his foot in a cast, apparently from tripping on stairs a few nights earlier at a restaurant in Hollywood while drunk and fractured his ankle. He did the reading and signing while on vicodin, a personal favorite of mine, and later I told him that it was better than going to a rock concert.
I've also met Marilyn Manson, authors Jerry Stahl and Tucker Max, and Spawn creator Todd McFarlane.
I would still like to meet authors Neil Gaiman, Chuck Palahniuk, Lawrence Block, and Jay McInerney, as well as Trent Reznor and Dita Von Teese. I'd also like to go out for drinks with Robert Downey Jr. and coffee with David Duchovny sometime.
Charles Bukowski and I were best friends in a previous life.

"The time has come For me to go I'll walk down that road There's no turning back The time has come To let it all go I won't say goodbye And I'll never come back. Cause time is fleeting And I'm fading away So tired of being here With all this responsibility And in the mourning you'll wake up And I'll be too far away To hear you call out to me..."~Dalkmer
