Spaz March

About Me

Since its inception in 2006, Spaz March has boldly gone where no other LA bands have gone before. It’s continuing mission: to bring music to the geeks, nerds and other weirdos that haven’t found an anthem among today’s sonic landscape.
Inspired by the writings of Paul Graham, Singer/bassist Murv the Third, created a style that mixes the frustration and myopia of teenage (and adult) life with the eager, giddy energy of adolescence. Spaz March’s musical evolution took a great leap with the addition of dueling guitarists Nick Guitardo and Andy Steadman. In Nick, the band picked up a shredder metalhead specializing in driving rhythms, and in Andy, a guitar player/singer songwriter whose classical vocal training provides fulfilling harmonies to each song. With the addition of Salvador on drums, Spaz March’s superior rhythm section fills the stage with energy…and band members. The traditional five-piece rock band gets an injection of awesome from co-founding members/backup vocalists Sondra D and Lorainne Baines McFly. Looking like refugees from a traditional boarding school, or a discount electronics store, Spaz March builds on the successes of its geek rock progenitors.
Spaz March has played at various clubs and events throughout California and Las Vegas. In addition, Spaz March has appeared, by invitation, at numerous band festivals as well as the Bodog Battle of the Bands and the Emergenza International Music Competition, in which the band advanced beyond preliminary rounds. Spaz March songs have been heard in the feature film "One, Two, Many," directed by Michael DeLorenzo and written by "Stuttering" John Melendez, and other independent short films. Currently Spaz March is getting air play on Japan’s Sendai Radio (76.2 FM) and on Sendai TV music show, Movement. The band has shared a stage with Depswa, Cry Havoc, Neo Relic, the Elevaters, Emi Kasai Band, Baxter House, Veritas, and an innumerable amount of other great bands.
