Gianluca Palmieri is born in Naples in 1982, he started playin drums at the age of 12. He studied for 5 years with Sergio Di Natale, great drum teacher in Naples aerea.
G.P. studied also with Maxx Furian (Laura Pausini) and Christian Meyer, attending to a lot of clinics like Gregg Bissonette, Sonny Emory, Terry Bozzio, Akira Jimbo, Billy Cobham, Peter Erskine, John JR Robinson, Simon Phillips and Dave Weckl.
In 2006 he leaves from Italy to attend the prestigious MUSICIANS INSTITUTE (PIT) in Hollywood, California: he graduates in the Associate of Arts Degree program receiving also the "Oustanding Player Achievement Award".
Gianluca Palmieri is the winner of the M.I.
