Damian Fink

Born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland, I started playing drums at the age of 14. My Father was a guitar and banjo player. He never pushed me to play an instrument but I started to take instrumental classes in school. I became obsessed with the drums and soon after that, my dad bought me my first drum kit. A Sonor Phonic Plus. (I still have that kit!!)I got my feet wet playing music by starting to jam with some friends from school. Of course imitating drummers from bands that I liked. (Rock on Ian!) Since then I've been involved in several projects and bands throughout the local and Swiss music scene. My career goals though, never focused only on playing nothing but the drums.Successfully, I finished an education in electrical engineering. Soon after graduation I staretd working for the world famous audio company Studer Professional as a Project Engineer and I got to travel this beautiful world teaching customers the technical aspect of audio equipment.Even during this busy time, I never lost the obsession for music. So in the year of 2007 I finally decided to take a another big step in my career and I moved to Los Angeles to attend the Musicians Institute to study drums and recording engineering. I am drummer with a great sense of dynamics and my main goal is to keep the music interesting while stil playing only what's right for the song. I want to keep the artist happy.
