About Me

The College of Physicians of Philadelphia's Mütter Museum was founded in 1858. The collection boasts over 20,000 unforgettable objects, including fluid-preserved anatomical and pathological specimens; skeletal and dried specimens; medical instruments and apparati; anatomical and pathological models in plaster, wax, papier-mache, and plastic; memorabilia of famous scientists and physicians; medical illustrations, photographs, prints, and portraits.
The Mütter Museum is located at 19 South 22nd St. in Center City Philadelphia, between Market and Chestnut Streets. The Museum is a few blocks from 30th Street Station, and less than a block from SEPTA bus and trolley lines.
