About Me

The Camden County Historical Society, located at Park Blvd and Euclid Avenue in Camden, New Jersey, is a three building complex and one of the area's largest public history facilities. CCHS is dedicated to preserving, celebrating, and educating the public about Camden County's richly diverse history. Consisting of a research library, museum of historic artifacts, and restored Colonial-era mansion Pomona Hall (built 1726-1788), CCHS is dedicated to a continuing dialog between past and present in Southern New Jersey.The Library and Museum are open: Wed-Fri: 12:30 - 4:30 and Sunday: 12 - 5. Pomona Hall is open for tours: Thurs and Sun: 12:30 - 4:30. For more info, visit our website at www.cchsnj.com.

Colonial Life, Georgian architecture, Quakers, Lenapes, Old and Rare Books, Microfilm, Public Records, Maps, RCA, Campbell's Soup, New York Shipbuilding Co, Camden Beer, Hadrosaurus, Walt Whitman, Harleigh Cemetery, the Cooper and Delaware Rivers, and all aspects of history in Camden County.
