Kids Helping Kids is a non-profit,501c3, teen organization headquartered in Montclair, NJ, Mischa Zimmermann founded Kids Helping Kids in 1997 after he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor at the age of thirteen. After a year in the hospital, Mischa started what has become a very sucessful, renowned organization that provides mobility equipment and companionship for kids who have been effected by serious illnesses and who can not afford the things that help them in their everyday lives."Our mission is to keep kids involved in the world of their peers and help them know they haven't been forgotten." Mischa Zimmermann.Kids Helping Kids has been honored by the National Caring Institute, Rosie O'Donnell's SuperKids, The Volvo for Life Awards and many others increasing awarness about the difference people can make in a child's life.
